Dave and Buster's History

Back in the late 1970s in Little Rock, Arkansas, two business establishments stood next to each other. Both were thriving businesses but worlds apart in concept.

The first was Buster's restaurant, which offered casual elegance, a warm, historic atmosphere and offered a wide variety of foods served by friendly townspeople. The second was "Slick Willy's World of Entertainment," owned and operated by Dave. Here children and adults alike enjoyed a wide selection of games and fun. Patrons moved frequently back and forth between the two establishments.

Dave and Buster became good friends and dreamed of a business that would combine the two concepts into one. They worked on a plan and searched for the right location. In December, 1982, they opened the doors to the first Dave and Buster's in Dallas, Texas. Today, they have locations across the U.S. and around the world.
